Why Is MiniTown Just for Kids 6 and Under?
We get this question a lot. Like… a lot.
“Can my 7-year-old go in if she’s small for her age?”
“But he’s just watching his little brother!”
“They’re technically still a kid!”
We hear you. We do. But here’s the thing — Minitown was built, quite literally, for children ages 0 to 6. And we’re not just saying that to be difficult.
Let’s break it down:
1. Older kids have options. Lots of them.
Trampoline parks. Bowling alleys. Arcades. Laser tag. Ninja warrior gyms.
The world is full of high-energy fun zones for big kids.
But toddlers?
The tiny humans still mastering walking in a straight line?
They’ve got… not much.
That’s why we created Minitown — a safe, magical space just for them.
2. Big kids + tiny toddlers = no good.
Even the sweetest 8-year-old can accidentally knock over a two-year-old.
Not because they’re bad — because they’re big.
Speed, strength, weight, and wild energy don’t mix well with wobbly legs and bubble socks.
We’re not in the business of “wait and see what happens.”
We’re in the business of safe, stress-free play.
3. Our space is physically designed for ages 6 and under.
Our slides, playhouses, ball pit, and soft structures are all sized, padded, and arranged for the developmental needs of younger children.
Older kids? They don’t fit — literally or figuratively.
And yes, that includes older siblings.
We love them. We really do.
But “just watching” doesn’t cut it when a toddler gets hurt.
Grown-ups are the only ones allowed to supervise inside the play area.
4. There are also insurance and safety policies we have to follow.
Our general liability coverage is specific to the age range we serve.
If we allow older kids to enter, we’re not only breaking our own rules — we’re violating safety standards designed to protect your children.
We take that seriously. Because you do too.
So no, we don’t make exceptions.
Not for “just turned 7 yesterday.”
Not for “tiny for her age.”
Not even for “but he promised to be gentle.”
This rule isn’t about exclusion.
It’s about inclusion — of the babies, toddlers, and preschoolers who rarely get a space of their own.
At Minitown, they do.
And they deserve to enjoy it to the fullest — safely, freely, and without being trampled by well-meaning big brothers.
Thanks for understanding. And thank you for helping us protect the magic of Minitown — for the little ones it was always meant for.
With love,
MiniTown Team
