The Story Behind Mr. Rexley 🦖

Every little detail at Minitown has a story—but Mr. Rexley’s might be our favorite.

It all started with a simple pencil sketch. Just an idea, really. I drew him by hand, imagining a character that could truly represent the heart of Minitown—playful, welcoming, a little silly, and full of personality. He wasn’t perfect at first (far from it), but he had something special.

From there, we kept refining him. Adding more color, more life, more character. We wanted him to feel warm and friendly—the kind of little dinosaur kids would instantly connect with. The orange details came in, the expressions evolved, and slowly, Mr. Rexley became… well, Mr. Rexley.

Once we felt like we had him just right, we sent the final design to a manufacturer—and they absolutely nailed it. Seeing him come to life for the first time was one of those moments you don’t forget. They even created his signature Minitown t-shirt so he could officially step into his role as our mascot.

And from that moment on, everything changed.

Mr. Rexley isn’t just a character—he’s part of the Minitown experience.

We’ve taken him to events, and every single time, it’s the same reaction: kids run to him. They hug him, wave to him, and line up for photos like he’s a celebrity (which, let’s be honest… he kind of is). There’s something about him that just makes kids light up—and honestly, it makes us just as happy.

He represents everything we want Minitown to be: joyful, imaginative, welcoming, and full of little moments that turn into big memories.
