One Year of MiniTown: A Dream Built for Families
It’s hard to believe that MiniTown is almost one year old.
When I sit down to write this, I honestly feel emotional — because MiniTown has never been “just a business” to us. It has been a dream, a prayer, a leap of faith, and a gift that we never take for granted.
One year ago, we opened our doors with a simple hope:
To create a space where children could play safely…
and where caregivers could feel welcomed, seen, and supported.
And today, looking back, I can only say one thing first:
Thank you, God.
Thank you for the opportunity to build something meaningful for families. Thank you for every single person who walked through our doors, trusted us with their children, celebrated milestones with us, and helped MiniTown become what it is today.
This first year has been more than we could have imagined.
How It All Started: The MiniTown Timeline
MiniTown didn’t happen overnight.
This dream lived in my heart for years — long before it became a real place on Kings Highway.
I remember being a mom of little kids and constantly searching for a space that felt right:
A place where kids could explore freely…
but where parents didn’t feel invisible.
Some places were too chaotic.
Some places weren’t clean.
Some places were fun for kids, but exhausting for adults.
And I kept thinking:
Why doesn’t this exist?
That question turned into an idea.
That idea turned into a plan.
And slowly, step by step, MiniTown became real.
The Planning Season
There were months of researching, dreaming, budgeting, touring spaces, and learning everything that goes into building something from scratch.
The Building Season
Then came construction, permits, zoning, delays, decisions, and the endless details that nobody sees from the outside.
There were moments that felt overwhelming.
But we kept going.
The Opening
And then, finally, we opened.
I will never forget those first families walking in, the first little feet running into the play space, the first coffee served, the first birthday party hosted.
MiniTown was alive.
This First Year
This year has been full of:
birthday celebrations
playdates and friendships
laughter filling the space
community support beyond what we expected
families returning week after week
and so many memories made inside these walls
MiniTown has become what we always hoped it would be:
A place where childhood feels magical… and caregivers feel at home.

Thank You for One Incredible Year
MiniTown exists because of this community.
Because families believed in what we were building.
Because children filled this space with joy.
Because parents found a place to connect.
Because God opened doors we could not open ourselves.
This first year has been the beginning of something so special.
And we are just getting started.
From the bottom of my heart…
Thank you for being part of MiniTown.
We cannot wait to celebrate with you on March 7th.
With so much gratitude,
Christine & Nelson 💛
